I came across Gap Adventure somewhat randomly, as one does surfing the Internet, and felt warm and fuzzy straight away.
I liked the images, range of destinations and reasonable prices. I liked that they cater for solo travellers as well as groups and that they have a ‘Lifetime Deposit’ policy, which means that if you have to cancel a trip, you don’t lose your deposit but can use it on another trip at any time. And I also liked the goal of changing lives through travel, both for the traveller and the communities visited by following sustainable tourism practices.
But what made me a fan was that in the drop down menu for ‘Region’, there is an option for ‘Far Far Away’. So of course I selected it and was even more impressed by the fact that for just under $100k you can take the 17-day ‘Blue Harvest’ tour to outer space (Use the tour code: Vader). The itinerary looks fantastic. SciFi geeks you'll want to check it out. Small group tour perhaps?
I haven’t travelled with Gap Adventures but I intend to get onto their newsletter for general ideas as well as lastminute tours. You never know when you just need to get out and do something amazing.
Look out for the links to Gap Adventures, and if you do book a trip with them, be sure to share your experience.
